The question arises sometimes, "what are we gonna do with all this time in heaven and also are we going to want to do it? " I mean eternity is a really long time, will we grow as individuals, and if so what do we grow into. We and everybody else are already eternal beings, but not really since we have starting points so we’re not eternal in the sense of going backwards but only eternal from this point forward, but it’s not really eternity if it’s not going backwards? It doesn’t really matter, a lot of questions don’t matter that I have, I mean they really don’t. Many of them do however, and I just have to trust that God‘s ways are higher than my ways, and someways we try to mollify the Scriptures to mean what we’d like them to me, even the most evangelical of Christians do this, or I should say even the most fundamental  Christians do this, I being one of them. I remember staying at this Airbnb one time hosted by this young girl, young girl meeting 25 years old or so, and t...

No, it cannot be done, so I will not try.   The Bibles Studies at the Home of Yuri Slapanovich On Thursday, that is the Thursday before the Friday that the Pontius Pilate had him put to death, there was a dinner, actually it fwas the last dinner (some call it supper) he would really ever have.   Since he knew he wouldn’t have much time with his followers he went on a long discourse, trying to sum everything up for the followers.   One of those followers by the name of John wrote it all down after it happened. In our time together last night we just talked about the first portion, or that in Chapter 14. The key points that Jesus made were this. He is going back where he came from to prepare a place for us on the other side. This place is described as a mansion, however some believe it to just be our spiritual ...

Sister Florette’s Mustard Tree

This past Monday afternoon during my daily walk through Mount Horeb I decided to rest at Grandma Foster Park, like I normally do if the walk is long. There are evergreen trees for shade, a pavilion, and under that pavilion are two tables, one in the northwest corner and another in the southeast corner. The tables are not especially suited for resting since the benches attached to the tables have no back, however you can lay down on either the table or bench itself. On this particular day however, I sat upright at the southeast table, nursing my latte which was now lukewarm, with the milk possibly going bad. I was staring at a squirrel crossing Washington street, coming towards me, running for its very existence as the A+ Plumbing truck went over it without snuffing its life. The squirrel jumped up on the northwest table across from me and stared in my direction. I made eye contact, thinking it would just scurry away, since they tend to be skittish creatures, not unlike some people I...
